Perfect Photo Mitten
I wore these mittens with their liners, on our Antarctica expedition cruise. They kept my hands warm and dry when needed. Then the magnetic flaps and zipper openings easily stowed away and allowed my fingers and thumb access to my camera. Then when I got cold, I just tucked them away until the next shot! They dried easily and the leather is super good quality stay supple I find the mitten must easier to work with in the gloves.

This strap caresses your neck
Even with a quite heavy camera, the strap feels like it caresses your neck.
If you add a cage for a small video rig, it's extremely easy to switch.

Exactly what I was looking for
These liners have been perfect for bird photography in the rainy winter months of the Pacific NW. I wear them all the time and have nothing bad to say about them. They fit well, keep my hands warm and dry, and still allow for good dexterity. I would absolutely buy them again.

The Alta Arctic Mitts provide that extra layer of protection from the wind and cold here in Maine that allows for fingers that actually work when you need them to for that great shot I’m about to capture ( I hope I do anyway). The harness is a brilliant addition as your mitts are easily out of the way while shooting and easily accessible to put back on creating that toasty warm feeling us older photographers crave.
